T-Mobile USA provides wireless cell phone, data and messaging services to users in the United States. The company is the US branch of Deutsche Telekom AG, one of the largest telecommunications corporations on the planet, capable of serving more than 120 million customers worldwide.

    In the Beginning

Way back in 1994, VoiceStream Wireless was launched after the merger of General Cellular and Pacific Northwest. By 2001 VoiceStream Wireless merged with Deutsche Telekom AG. By 2002, VoiceStream Wireless officially became T-Mobile USA and signed the internationally recognized actress, Catherine Zeta Jones as their spokeswoman.

    Making History by Making Firsts

T-Mobile has a reputation for making history with its innovative technologies and fresh approach to cellular wireless technology. They were the first carrier to offer video messaging services and their color version of the Sidekick was an award-winning introduction to the world of wireless communication. They the first company to introduce BlackBerry wireless integrated with phone service. In 2007, they became one of the founding members of the Open Handset Alliance, an organization crucially involved in the development of the Android Platform. They also were the first to introduce Android powered devices to the cell-phone industry and the first company to launch an HSPA+ network in the US. Drive Smart made waves as being the first service of its kind introduced to the industry, providing safer driving experience for smartphone users.

    Award Winning Service

Repeatedly recognized for their extreme focus on superior service, the carrier has received several awards from J.D. Power and Associates. Starting in 2009 until the present, the Ethisphere Institute has repeatedly awarded the title of “One of the World’s Most Ethical Companies” to this company. G.I. Jobs magazine has been recognizing the company as one of the top 100 military-friendly employers since 2007. The company has been recognized as an outstanding employer by Military Spouse Magazine (20120, 2011), Experience.com (2010), the Tampa Bay Times (2020, 2011, 2012), the Idaho Business Review (2020, 2011, 2012), the Birmingham business Journal.

    National Service

According to the Third Quarter Financial Reports released on November 8, 2012, T-Mobile is currently serving 33.3 million customers. On November 12, 2012, Larry Meyers, Chief People Officer, published an article on the company’s blog outlining their continuing commitment to hiring veterans. Citing Monster Worldwide’s statistic that more than one million veterans will be re-entering service live in the coming years, Meyers made it clear that the company is determined to honor military service members with good jobs. In the article, Meyers outlines the core values of the corporation; values which underscore the unique attributes that have won the company so many employer awards: trust, dedication to service, and teamwork.

Overall, T-Mobile is a company that has based its success on treating its employees well, innovating new and exciting applications of current technology and the complete commitment to outstanding service.

TMobile, the 4th largest mobile network operator in the USA, has a great line of cell phones and plans. Perhaps because they’re one of the smaller networks, they offer great deals to encourage people to use their network.

You can choose from a number of different plans to go with TMobile’s phones. The cheapest starts at just $39.99 per month for 500 minutes of talk time. For $10 more, you get unlimited text messaging as well, and for $20 more, bringing you up to $59.99, you can get unlimited talk time and texts. For $79.99 you can get 2 GB of data a month as well. This is the cheapest data plan, and is enough data for most users. If you want more data, or features like the Mobile Hotspot Service, you can get a fully unlimited data plan (unlimited talk, text, and data) for $124.99 per month. Note that unlimited data plans are capped at 10 GB of high-speed data per month, far more than almost anyone uses.

Family plans offer savings if you’re getting more than one line. These prices are for two lines, more can be added to share the same resources for a small additional charge. They parallel the pricing of the individual plans, and start at just $59.98 per month for 1000 minutes, and go up by $20 to add unlimited texts. Family plans with mobile data start at $119.98 per month for the limited minutes plan, and go up to $229.98 per month for an unlimited talk, text, and data plan. The data on this top-tier plan can be shared with laptops and other mobile devices.

Prepaid data plans range from $50-$70 per month, and can be bought by the day at prices from $1-$3 per day. Alternately, pay-as-you-go plans allow minutes to be purchased on an as needed basis. $10 buys 30 minutes, but they get cheaper the more you buy, ranging up to $100 for 1000 minutes. These plans also allow for texts and picture and video messaging.

Data only plans are also available starting at $39.99 per month for a contract plan. $15 for 300 MB of data on a one-week pass is the lowest available tier of contract free data only packages.

    Features and Benefits

Perhaps the best plans are simply the unlimited everything plans. At reasonable prices, you don’t have to worry about any sort of caps or limits, which makes using your phone easy and worry free. Monthly plans require a two year contract, which allows for awesome savings up front on the phone itself. Limited minute plans include free mobile to mobile calling and free night and weekend minutes. There’s no additional charge for domestic long distance or roaming.

    TMobile Phones

T-Mobile has a full range of phones and other devices available. Their broad list starts with top of the line smartphones, like the Samsung Galaxy S III for $279.99, and the incredibly large Samsung Galaxy Note II, the tablet-like phone with a beautiful screen. They offer a full choice of Android and Windows Phone enabled devices. Free TMobile phones are available with some of the older or cheaper models of phones, including many popular Android smartphones.

Although they do not officially offer Apple devices, like the iPhone and iPad, if you’re an Apple devotee you may purchase a SIM card to use in an unlocked iOS device.

Tablets are another popular mobile device, and you can get them for really low prices with a 2-year contract for data service. Samsung makes a popular line of Android tablets, like the Samsung Galaxy Tab, that you can choose from.

If you need Internet access for other devices, you can check out the TMobile Sonic 4G Mobile HotSpot, which works as a portable router for your laptop or tablet.

If high-tech smartphones aren’t your thing, you can look through a plethora of other simple feature phones, which talk and text without the complexity or price of a smartphone. Many free TMobile phones are available in this category. The plans for these phones, which don’t include data, tend to be much cheaper.

    Help and Support

TMobile’s website is a great first stop to look at all of their device and service plan offerings. It shows all of the phones, tablets, modems, and other devices they offer as well as detailed descriptions and pricing information for their plans. This might be the easiest way to find the information you want about their phones and plans.

Before you buy your new phone or other device, however, you will probably want to check it out. Going into a TMobile store will be a good way to experience for yourself how your new phone or tablet works and to see if you actually like it. In-store salespeople are available to show you different phones, answer and questions, and get you set up with a new TMobile account.

If you have any questions before you can make it to a store, or if there’s not a store convenient to your residence, you can chat with a sales representative online, or by calling 1-800-866-2453.

Generally for a new account you will have to pay the price of the phone as well as a regular monthly fee. There is also usually a $35 fee per line for activation, and up to a $200 fee for breaking a two year contract. Overage and other fees vary by plan, so talk to a TMobile representative for more information, especially if you’re worried about going over your monthly limits. Top of the line unlimited plans are a great idea if you’re a talker or data user, so consider these as a safe option.

I still have 9 months left to my 2 yr contract and this garbage of a phone has given me way too much problems! The battery drains very very quickly, the screen goes black at least 6 times a day lately, the battery needs to be taken out every time the phone dies and it is just a piece of crap phone in general!

i Love the prepaid program. I am disabled and funds are extremely limited. the ability to have unlimited talk, text and web for a minimal $49.00. Is awesome. I am very appreciative of the affordability of options offered. The phone itself is a little on the cheep side, It has the slide out feature, which I like but the keys dont always respond, they have to be pressed several times until you get just the right spot. But you get what you pay for.My phone cost $50.00. I do like the soft keys. Anyone having long fingernails can appreciate that feature. I don’t get the best reception. It takes alot of relocating around the house to get any reception which is hard on me I do wish it had better coverage. However all said I am more pleased than not.

I have T-Mobil and have been with them for over 8 years. My last transaction with them was very bad. I live in a small town and nearest big city is 60 miles away. I went to WalMart to renew my contract and get a new phone. The only one they had was a 4g they showed me how to use it in a little short time maybe 5 min. I am a senior citizen and didn’t really catch on. I took the phone home and it lasted a month. I went back to walmart and they told me they couldn’t do anything about it I could go to a reg t mobil store or call them. I called them and they told me to go to a reaguler t moble store. We do not go into LAS Vegas that often as the gas cost to much. I want out of there contract.
