            • Amazon’s New Dash Wand

              Amazon's New Dash Wand

As more and more products arrive that simplify our lives–Amazon releases something new to add to the list. Amazon Dash is the personal shopping assistant of our dreams.

              What is Amazon Dash?

Amazon Dash is a service offered by Amazon that allows customers to quickly order frequently purchased products with the touch of a button. This service has been a helpful tool for the busy household and prevents shopping blunders like forgetting the toilet paper or laundry soap. Have it delivered when you need it at the convenience you desire.

              What is Amazon Dash Wand?

The Amazon Dash Wand takes shopping management to the next level. The device connects to the Amazon Dash service platform, offering you even more convenient and intuitive ways to shop.

The device itself works as a barcode scanner–allowing you to scan the UPC codes of every item in your refrigerator and pantry inventory. This not only helps you track your supplies, but it also helps keep your food organized and optimized for freshness.

              Design

The wand operates on two AAA batteries and the design features a nifty loop hole for easy hanging, as well as a magnet allowing for attaching to the refrigerator. The Dash Wand is wi-fi enabled and instantly keeps you connected after the initial set-up. You can also connect your Android or iPhone devices and sync them all to the Wand.

              Features

The Dash Wand is the perfect kitchen assistant. Ask for hundreds of your everyday essentials to be ordered by voice command, and like magic they appear in your Amazon shopping cart. No longer does the kitchen require a paper to store your grocery list. If you prefer a particular brand of something, use the Dash Wand’s intuitive scanner and Amazon will add it directly to your cart or alert you to similar items available. How easy is that?

              Now with Alexa

The Dash Wand can also access thousands of features and skills with Alexa–serving as a mini-Echo, though with some limited functionality. Helpful skills include kitchen measurement conversions, step-by-step recipe instructions from Allrecipes.com help you cook right alongside the perfect sous chef with the bonus feature that it can also populate the shopping list automatically. The future really feels like magic.

              AmazonFresh

Now it gets even better…the Dash Wand can immediately connect with AmazonFresh, a grocery delivery service available in some local areas. The barcode scanning feature on the Dash Wand syncs with your AmazonFresh delivery options for your area–simplifying grocery shopping like never before.

“Alexa, I cut my hand and need large bandages.” “ Alexa, order allergy meds, I’m feeling stuffed up.”

Has Amazon found a way to become the hero in all of our lives? Maybe. The Dash Wand is perfect for nearly any environment. The perfect kitchen assistant for the busy family–ready to anticipate any need, or a great office helper–enabled to track office supply orders, or the camp assistant–quickly replenishing supplies for a summer camp.

The possibilities are endless and it all happens without needing to leave the house, office, or wherever your Dash Wand connects.
